World Culture Day at Holy Trinity
Last Friday Holy Trinity celebrated World Culture Day. It was an emotional day as we bid our Year 11 students a fond farewell on the same day but we couldn’t have asked for a more fitting send off, celebrating how unique and diverse Holy Trinity is as a special community. We started the morning with special prayers representing the many faiths and cultures of Holy Trinity, remembering that we are one global family.
Students and staff wore outfits to represent their culture and we had many insightful conversations about our heritage and the stories about how our clothes represent our culture. The colours, styles and vibrancy were just beautiful.
We had stories shared throughout the day from around the world including China, India, Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Peru. The canteen also provided us with tasty food from around the globe!
As always our students gave generously to support our two charities, CAFOD and Islamic Relief and staff also made contributions to these worthy charities also.
Another memorable day made even more special by the fact that Year 11 could also share in this celebration on their final day here.
