We are now three week’s into this year’s Family Learning Project and once again it is proving a successful and rewarding experience for everyone taking part.– a huge well done to all families involved so far!
During last week’s session we welcomed Kirran from Birmingham Adult Education Service in to school to work with our parents and carers – teaching them English around the topics of family, health and shopping. Our students then joined their parents and carers after an hour for a practical learning session with Mrs Teager – helping to create some amazing looking fruit kebabs and producing fantastic work about their families (see picture gallery).
In the upcoming weeks the project will focus on sewing, baking cakes, practicing making appointments, learning about our local area and community plus much more. If you would like to join the sessions on a Thursday contact Mrs Teager at school.
