Today a bell sounded at school at 10.45 when all pupils and staff gathered together in unity to observe a remembrance silence to commemorate those who’ve made great sacrifices and fallen in all wars and conflicts across the world.
Isa Shajira and Jacob Smith who are cadets at Holy Trinity led the remembrance day silence, they marched to position alongside the Headteacher and Assistant Head and signalled the beginning and end of the silence which was observed impeccably by all at the school.
The wreath held is a tribute to the ‘Unremembered’ soldiers of the World Wars or any previous or subsequent conflicts. The school is currently taking part in a national initiative on behalf of the Home Office to make this tribute of remembrance.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
