There was great excitement on 22nd June as the moment Year 9 and 10 Duke of Edinburgh students had been preparing for finally arrived! The Duke of Edinburgh expedition set off on a sunny Friday morning to begin their assessed expedition to gain their bronze award. On Friday, they walked from Waseley Hills visitor centre all the way to Blackwell Court, where they camped overnight. While at the campsite the students had to demonstrate how to pitch a tent and how to cook an evening meal using a trangia. When they woke on Saturday, students had to cook breakfast and then walk a circular route around Blackwell. Well done to all our students and thank you to our staff who supported.
