13 Oct

On the evening of Sunday 7th October, 35 of our Year 10 pupils and five staff left Small Heath for Stansted Airport. From here they were flying to Barcelona for four days!

They arrived at 11am on Monday morning and the first stop was the Nou Camp Stadium. Here they had a self guided tour and a visit to the museum. After a great few hours, they checked in at the hotel before heading to La Ramblas to explore. They returned to the hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep before embarking on Day 2! After breakfast they visited the beautiful Sagrada Familia, the Gaudi experience and then Park Guell. On Thursday they visited Port Adventuro Theme Park before experiencing a Tapas meal in a lovely little Spanish restaurant.

Before heading home on the Thursday they even squeezed in a visit to the Picasso Museum!

This really was the trip of a lifetime and our pupils loved every minute. Huge thanks to Ms McKiernan for all of her hard work and diligence in planning the visit and ensuring all of our pupils arrived home safe and happy. Big thanks also to Mr Luque, Mrs Chan, Mr Sherman and Ms Daw who accompanied our pupils on this fantastic adventure. Please have a look at the picture collages below for a flavour of this amazing visit!
