Our Family Learners have been very busy this half term!  We celebrated bonfire night by learning about the history of Guy Fawkes, writing firework poetry and creating some amazing chalk pictures!
We have also been to the cinema to watch ‘The Railway Children Returns’. It was a great day out and we are using the film in our sessions to explore the themes of racism, war and politics.  We will be writing a film review, character profiles and making comparisons between life now and in 1943.
Today we enjoyed playing table tennis; it got very competitive between the parents and the children!  Over the next few weeks we are really looking forward to cooking and a Christmas celebration.
A huge thank you and well done to our families who attend this project, and a warm welcome to our new Year 7 families – Mrs Teager
